They launched a very exciting Social Media Competition in Australia last July. They wanted to know why we, instagrammers and avid travelers, would consider ourselves a Top Instagrammer.
When I got the called to be advised I was selected as one of the Top 20 amongst hundreds of participants, I felt truly honoured and at the same time scared! Choice Hotels sent me to BRISBANE, taking me out of my comfort zone with an city itinerary by myself, driving my own car! {haha nervous laugh}
Being an ocean and all round nature photographer was a challenge not only to photograph a city but to mix the urban colours and shapes in my instagram full of underwater, waves and beach photos. BUT, it was EPIC to go around, hugging a Koala at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, incorporating abseiling off the edge of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs with Riverlife, watching the sunrise from Mount Coot-tha and visiting the Night Noodle Market at Southbank. Lots of highlights for one and half day of adventures and I really loved to be part of this experience.
I stayed at their Comfort Inn & Suites Robertson Gardens set on 10 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens on the outskirts of Brisbane. My room was so comfortable and beautiful and my favourite part was to meet their staff. Most of them have been working for Choice Hotels for more than 20 years!!! They loved so much their jobs and I only saw them happy and helpful the entire time. Their beautiful welcome warmed my heart and we had some really nice, inspiring conversations with the Manager with whom I share a passion for the ocean and diving!
Thank you Choice Hotels for taking me out of my comfort zone because is in that moment when you truly discover yourself and you truly know where your north is! I promise to book my next holiday accommodation with Choice Hotels!
